Vidhya Jyoti Girls’ High School – Arambhada

The congregation of the sisters of St. Ann to which the sisters belong, is a Christian Religious order founded by the pious couple of Turin (Italy) Carlo Tancredi De Barola and Giulia Falletti De Barola in 1834. Active in the filed of education throughout the world since its origin, the congregation conducts in India nearly 50 High schools and over a dozen colleges in which thousands of young people, belonging to every social class, community and linguistic group are being educated through the medium of both English and Regional language.

Vidhya Jyoti Girls’ High School at Arambhada Mithapur is an Gujarati Medium School Founded In 1990 and named after the great saint and patroness of our sisters.

The school which is recognized the Government of Gujarat State and prepares pupils for the Nursary, Primary, Secondary and Higher Secondary Certificate examination (Std. Nursary –XII) is owned by the Society of Sisters of St. Ann, Province of North India and Managed by St. Anns educational Cheritable Trust which belongs to Christian Religious Minority Community and therefore enjoys the rights and privileges guaranteed by articles 29, 30(1) of the Constitution of India.

Aims & Objectives

Annites education is inspired by our founders’ vision, mainly from the teaching of Jesus Christ and based on the principles of character formation, elaborated by Carlo and Giulia De Barolo.
The sisters of St. Ann are engaged in educational work in 10 countries throughout the world for the last 175 years. Reaffirm conviction that the formation of youth through their educational institutions continues to be one of the foremost services they can render to their people.
They believe that an essential need of their country is for a community of persons with deep faith, sound knowledge, intellectual and emotional maturity and more integrity, persons able and willing to render generous service to their fellow men and women in building up a truly human society. It is therefore to the formation of such a community of persons that they commit their educational Institutions.
